Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Memori app and its related services (“Memori”, “we”, “us”). By using Memori, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Using Memori

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Memori for your own studying and learning. You agree to use the app only as permitted by these Terms and by applicable law.

Your account

Memori works without an account, but creating one lets us back up your decks so you do not lose them. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Your content

You own the content you create in Memori — your topics, chats, flashcards, and study data. We do not claim ownership of it.

You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the service: to store, back up, sync, and process your content, including sending the necessary parts of it to the AI and infrastructure providers described in our Privacy Policy so the app's features can work. This permission exists only to run Memori for you.

You are responsible for the content you put into Memori and for having the right to use it.

Shared decks

Memori lets you publish one of your topics as a shared deck: a snapshot of its cards that anyone holding the unlisted code you hand out can import. There is no public gallery, feed, or search — a shared deck is reachable only by its code, and importing one creates a private copy in the importer's own account. There are no profiles, no follows, no comments, and no messaging between users.

By publishing a deck you confirm that its content is yours to share and that it does not break the Acceptable use rules above. A shared deck is your content, held to the same standards as anything else you put into Memori.

Reporting. Anyone you give a code to can report the deck, either before importing it or from the topic they imported it into. Reports go to us and are reviewed by a person. A report on its own takes no automatic action — we look at the deck and decide — so reporting a deck cannot be used to take someone else's deck down.

Blocking. You can also block a deck's source, which stops every deck published by that account from opening for you. Blocking affects only your own account, is never revealed to the person blocked, and can be undone the next time you try one of their codes.

What we can do about a reported deck. We can disable a shared deck so that its code stops working and its images stop being served, and a disabled deck cannot be brought back by its publisher sharing the topic again. We can suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly publish material breaking these Terms. What we cannot do is reach into copies already imported: an imported deck is a separate copy in someone else's account, on their own device, and it remains theirs. Disabling a shared deck also does not delete the publisher's own topic or cards — those are their content, and the remedy is to stop the sharing, not to destroy their study material.

AI-generated content

Memori uses AI to generate tutor replies, flashcards, and other study material. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. It is provided to help you study, not as authoritative fact.

Do not rely on Memori for professional advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise. Always verify important information against a trustworthy source.

Your conversations with the tutor are private to you. They are never published to other users, and you can delete a conversation yourself at any time. If a reply is harmful, wrong, or inappropriate, you can report it from the message itself: that sends us the reply and the question that produced it, and nothing else from the conversation, so we can correct how the tutor is prompted.

Subscriptions and billing

Memori offers an optional paid subscription (Memori Pro). Subscriptions are billed through your app store account (Google Play or the Apple App Store) on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or yearly) at the price shown at purchase, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time in your app store's subscription settings, which you can reach from the Memori Pro screen in the app. Cancellation stops future renewals; payments already made are non-refundable except where the store's policies or the law provide otherwise (refunds for store purchases are handled by the store), and access to Pro features continues through the end of the period you have paid for.

Prices and plans may change; we will not change the price of an active subscription period you have already paid for.

Beta software and “as is”

Memori is offered during a beta period and is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Memori will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, surface the change in the app. Continuing to use Memori after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

You may stop using Memori at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated or if we discontinue the service. You can request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy.
