Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Memori (“Memori”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Memori mobile app and the services behind it.

We have tried to write this plainly. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will explain.

The short version

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password (handled by our authentication provider — we never see your password in plain text). You can also use Memori through an anonymous account, which has no email address and no personal identifier beyond a random ID; it exists only so your deck can be backed up before you sign up.

Your learning content. The material you create and study: topics, chat conversations with the AI tutor, flashcards, review history, and your study settings. This is stored so it can sync across sessions and be restored if you reinstall.

Payment information. If you subscribe to Memori Pro, payment is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, with a subscription-management provider tracking your subscription status. Memori never receives or stores your card number — the store handles the payment details, and we receive only your subscription status and a purchase reference.

Usage counters. We keep simple daily counters of how much of the AI features you have used, so we can apply fair-use rate limits. These are counts, not a log of what you asked.

Diagnostics. When the app hits an error or crash, we send a crash/error report to a third-party diagnostics provider so we can find and fix bugs. These reports can include technical details about the failure and your device.

How we use your information

Where your data goes (service providers)

Memori relies on a small set of providers to run. We share only what each one needs to do its job.

Data storage and retention

Your account and learning content are retained for as long as your account exists so the app can back them up and restore them. Some technical caches (such as synthesized audio) are shared and content-addressed rather than tied to your account.

Deleting your data

Signing out of Memori clears your data from that device (it stays safely on the server so you can sign back in).

Memori does not yet offer in-app account deletion. To have your account and its associated data permanently deleted from our servers, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will process the deletion. Deleting your account cascades to the learning content tied to it.

Children

Memori is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Advertising and sale of data

We do not show third-party ads in Memori, and we do not sell your personal information.

Security

We use reputable providers and standard protections (encrypted transport, authentication, and access controls). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what each provider can see to what it needs.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, surface the change in the app.
